		Fifteen Restaurant Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Restaurant is a social enterprise that trains disadvantaged young people in hospitality and catering. Big Issue Invest financed the start-up of a restaurant by the winner of the Foundation graduate chefs' competition.

		Active Life Active Life is a community owned leisure facility in Canterbury that provides affordable sports and recreation facilities for the community.

		Barnardo's Barnardos, a leading children's charity, is developing social enterprises through partnerships with the private sector and taking local enterprises to a national scale. Big Issue Invest's experience as social entrepreneurs and financiers was the basis of a partnership with Barnardo's - assisting a traditional charity to enter the sector and develop new social enterprises.

		Belu Belu is the first carbon neutral, bottled water company in the UK. It also uses compostable bottles made from corn. Profits are donated to fund clean water projects in the UK and around the globe.Belu's high-quality product is found in major supermarkets across the UK.

		Digartref Ynys Mon Digartref Ynys Mon in Anglesey provides supported accommodation and a training centre for young people who may have been affected by housing issues.

		Hackney Community Transport (HCT) Hackney Community Transport is an award-winning Community Interest Company and rapidly growing provider of public transport and related training services in the UK. Big Issue Invest provided bridging finance for HCT to win a £3.5m year publicly tendered contract with the Olympic Delivery Authority to deliver bus services for the 8,000 building contractors. Big Issue Invest also made a loan to support the expansion of 15 school bus routes in Yorkshire.

		Pathfinder Healthcare Developments Pathfinder Healthcare Developments (CIC) is an innovative provider of extended primary care services, specialising in the needs of inner city multiracial populations. It aims to reduce health inequalities. The funds will be used to roll-out the redesign of extended care which is anticipated to transform service delivery.

		Pines Calyx Pines Calyx is a state-of-the-art sustainable environmental conference centre near Dover. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the centre works in harmony with nature and is built from recycled building materials using groundbreaking environmental architecture design and techniques. The centre offers modern and versatile spaces for a wide range of events from conferencing and learning to dining and celebration.

		Pontin Charitable Trust A loan from Big Issue Invest provided working capital for the Trust to lend to social enterprises in the South West that focus on renewable energy.

		Stevenage CAB Stevenage Specialist Telephone Advice Centre provides specialist legal advice by telephone. Specialists advise on debt, employment, benefits and housing matters.

		SCA Healthcare SCA Healthcare was established by leading care provider SCA Community Care to meet the need for better dental healthcare provision in Southampton. SCA delivers domiciliary care, day care and transport services for older people and people with disabilities. Big Issue Invest has financed two of a chain of SCA Healthcare Dental Surgeries serving disadvantaged inner city communities on the south coast.

		Thorpete Gas Services Ltd Thorpete provides gas and electrical installation and maintenance services to public and private sector customers, but primarily to housing associations in the East Midlands. The business is run as a social enterprise providing job and training opportunities for long-term unemployed local people. Big Issue Invest financed the upgrade of Thorpete's customer service I.T. system to increase the number and quality of its customer maintenance calls.


		Turning Point Turning Point is rolling out their Centre of Excellence for Connected Care that will focus on a new model of service delivery, which integrates health and social care services in the most deprived areas in England and Wales.

		Venture Partnership Foundation The Venture Partnership Foundation is a philanthropic fund management group and the UK's first registered grant-making charity mutually-owned by its supporters. Big Issue Invest has helped the Venture Foundation Partnership to finance grant and loan packages for growing social enterprises and entrepreneurial charities.
